What the attachment offers trainees:

Breadth of exposure to the specialty of obstetrics and gynaecology. Gynaecology out-patient clinics, special interest gynaecology clinics/treatments, gynaecology acute ward including elective and emergency gynaecology management, antenatal clinics, labour ward, obstetric and gynaecology emergency and elective operating theatre exposure., participation in audit/other areas of risk management.

What teaching is offered:

Weekly O&G teaching for GP trainees
Monthly multidisciplinary perinatal meeting
CTG interpretation/other obstetric skills
Direct supervision for cervical smear taking and review of results
Monthly multidisciplinary radiology meeting in which trainees are encouraged to present cases
Monthly journal club
